David Witner is a full-time firefighter/paramedic but he is first and foremost a Ruffed Grouse hunter. His passion is hunting the woods of southern Ohio and Northern Michigan in search of this elusive quarry.
While David has always owned hunting dogs, he did not purchase his first Llewellin Setter, Scout, until 2003. Scout practically trained herself. She was soft, gentle and took commands naturally. She had an inherent birdiness and an innate pointing instinct—this dog lived to hunt!
Nimisila Creek Kennels will produce one or two litters per year of FDSB registered, highest quality purebred Llewellin Setters.
In 2005, David and his wife, Kristine, decided to move into breeding Llewellin Setters and Nimisila Creek Kennels was born. The rest is history.
